When Kate Moss Met Mario Sorrenti: the Birth of the Myth

“I still love her, but more like a sister I think.”

– Mario Sorrenti

It was the far 1994 when the iconic British model and the talented fashion photographer met for Calvin Klein‘s ‘Obsession’ campaign.

Kate Moss was just 19 years old when she starred in the iconic Obsession campaign in 1993, posing nude for the adverts.

In an interview, Kate spoke about working with her former flame:

“When you’re in a relationship with a photographer and they start abusing that relationship of being like, “I want you to do this, I want you to do that”.”

She also spoke about Mario’s obsession with photography:

“I would wake up in the morning and he’d be taking pictures of me. I laid like that for ten days, he would not stop taking pictures of that.”

Without a doubt, Mario Sorrenti helped Kate a lot to become a fashion icon.

Now, the British model and the Italian photographer have reprised their roles for the latest iteration of the scent, the new Obsessed Calvin Klein fragrance.

Here, some pictures taken in the early 90s that prove how strong is the chemistry between the two.
